Hillside Resort In South?

Hi I am looking for a resort in the south of Phuket - we are visiting friends who live there.

We don't want to stay on the beach, we would rather drive around the motorcycle and stay in the hills. But we are looking for nice bungalows, and a place that's not HUGE.

I have searched all the hotels on the hotels sticky in this forum to no avail. Anyone know a nice, small, maybe even "boutique" resort in the south? Hills preferred, but beach is OK too.

Budget anywhere from 1000 - 5000 baht / night...

Try the "Mangosteen Resort & Spa".

The food is horrible there and service is very bad.

Try Evason. They are on a hill and have a nice area to enjoy.

Try the Friendship Bungalows in Rawai. Pleasant garden surroundings and excellent restaurant around the swimming pool.
