Far-right activist, author Phyllis Schlafly dies at 92

Y'all shameless haters on the Left like to gloss over her accomplishments and the fact that she earned a Juris  Doctor while in her fifties.  Her book, "A Choice, Not An Echo, sold 3 million copies.

Here’s what Ann Coulter had to say about her:

"There is no more pristine example of the left''s "in-crowd" snobbery than their treatment of conservative author and activist Phyllis Schlafly...Her very name prompts derisive hoots from Hollywood starlets who couldn't approach her IQ if they were having brains instead of silicone injected.  To listen to the cool people, you could be forgiven for thinking that Schlafly is one step above a cretin.  In fact, Schlafly is one of the most accomplished and influential people in America."

Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly passed away at age 92 on Monday.

Schlafly was a constitutional lawyer, conservative activist, author, speaker, columnist and founder of the Eagle Forum.

Phyllis was active promoting conservative agenda until her passing. She wrote a weekly column for over 50 years. Schlafly released a book in August, “The Conservative Case for Trump,” with co-authors Ed Martin and Brett Decker – The Conservative Case for Trump.

In March Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for president at the Peabody Opera House in St. Louis.

Donald told the packed Basilica Cathedral, “Phyllis was ALWAYS America first!”

Why is it that these Far Right Exceptionalists and their demands for illiberalism do so in ignorance of the very Constitution that defends their right to express their intolerance and bigotry?

"Congress should pass legislation to remove from the federal courts their jurisdiction to hear these outrageous challenges to the Ten Commandments and the Pledge of Allegiance"

http://www.eagleforum.org/column/2004/sept04/04-09-29.html

What kind of fascism is this? May she and all who sail in her rot in hell.

This is what Schlafly said about LGBT people:

Gays, she said, are already free to live together. “Nobody’s stopping them from shacking up,” she said. “The problem is they are trying to make us respect them, and that’s an interference with what we believe.”

http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/anti-gay-activist-phyllis-schlafly-how-dare-those-gay-people-ask-us-to-respect-them/

The Old Witch thinks LGBT people don't deserve respect? Does that extend to her own son?

Poor ignorant Phyllis. Can't fathom what led her son to this 'lifestyle choice'

She knows of nothing she might have done to start her son down the road to
gayness. The presence of a strong mother and weak father, long used to explain
homosexuality, especially doesn't fit: ``He had a very strong father,'' Schlafly
says. The late Fred Schlafly, 15 years her senior, was a well-to-do lawyer who
took an active role in anti-Communist issues

Was the gay son at the funeral or finally celebrating having the house to himself, since he lived with his mother and looking forward to finally getting some action?

What Hell growing up with that for a mother.

A lot of the left wing loonies skip over how prescient Phyllis Schlafly was.

To wit:

" People laughed and jeered when Schlafly suggested that untethered feminism and the limitless pursuit of equality would lead to women serving in combat and unisex bathrooms. Who’s laughing now? Nowadays if you even make a joke about these totems of progressive equality you’re accused of bigotry."

Not people Bigots like her, Nothing wrong with women serving in combat, or anything else they are qualified to do.

As far as unisex bathrooms are concerned , yea I remember that it was the main objection to ERA and now they are everywhere:facepalm:

Please provide link where she prophesied  unisex bathrooms, and  then indicate how her alleged prophecy came true.

Right.

She could see where society was going and was doing her best to stem the flood of far-left feminazie attitudes.

Society is in a much better place today than where she was trying to keep it and back where the Tumpeteers want to take it.

That is quite debatable.

Seen college campuses lately?  SJW's with their safe spaces?

The list of grievances goes on & on...

Your short list of grievances pales in comparison to the inclusion of half the worlds female population, , racial inclusion that has empowered a large percentage of the male population,to the mainstream,  and all the benefits that are derived from such inclusion.

Off course I feel bad for all the poor, uneducated white boys and their loss of privilege, but I have news for them. The place your messiah want to take you to, does not exist.

The unique place in history and ensuing prosperity that the US occupied in the 50's and early 60's

is simply not there. Europe's, and Japans industrial capacity is no longer decimated by two world wars, China is no longer an ideologically induced basket case. And it's about to get worst for them as India is coming out of the shadows, and the potential of south America and Africa is realized.

Unless we are planning to bomb the rest of the world back in to the stone age, I am afraid your prophets have you barking up the wrong tree.  Learn to compete, or be left behind.

How does that square with what we're discussing re special snowflakes and their dire need for safe spaces?

I thought we were discussing the , as you accurately described "special Snowflake" Phyllis Schlafly.  her and her supporters " dire need for safe spaces" back in the neolithic ages.

Those  "safe spaces"  that can only exist ad the detriment to others, no longer exist,Keep up with the times or become a dinosaur like  Phyllis Schlafly.
