Full Moon Feb 2007

Featured Replies

After many years of resisting, i will be going to the full moon party in Feb 2007. :o

My mate (who's a bit of an old clubber) wants to go for a few days to KP.

Please could anyone recommend a NICE place to stay (money no object) within staggering distance...

Also, what places to see and best beaches for a 3/4 day trip...My mate has never been to Thailand and he has this "tropical paradise" thing in his head... :D

Many thanks

Razell, I've never stayed there, but I see there is 31 reviews of the place on that site so check them out.

Yeah that place is very good, very good service. They have 2 pools as you may have noticed and is 20 yards from a 7-11, which would be very handy on the way back from the Full Moon. It would only take about 5 minutes to walk into town. There are many staff who speak alot of english and also some American staff. It also has a major bank in the foyer.

For beaches you MUST visit bottle beach, although it is alot more crowded than it used to be. Although by no means as crowded as Samui beaches. You should also try Koh Maa, they have good snorkling there.

Thanks for the input...After a bit of investigating it seems most of the "better" hotels want you to book for 3 days or more over the period of the Full Moon..

We might just get an overnight boat and pray it doesn't sink... :o

Why not stay for the 3 days? The build up to the party can be more fun than the party itself. Gets you in the mood for an all-nighter as well :o

Maybe its just me,but i reckon thong nai pan yai has got the best beach.Bottle beach was alright but a maybe bit out of the way for someone whos only staying for 3 to 4 days??

Bottle beach is nearly inaccessible for someone just coming to attend the FMP and TNP is a great beach, and access to the party is no problem but the return to the resort later can be difficult and/or expensive.

Best area to stay for a short term visitor coming just for the party (but still out of the fray) is Ban Kai and Ban Tai.
