Samui Dermatologist - skin cancers

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm looking for a recommendation for a good dermatologist on Samui just to go over some spots etc... looking for any pre-cancer, cancer etc..

I've had a look at the Dr at Bangkok Hospital on the website and it seems he is mostly into anti-aging etc...

Anyone have any first hand experience with a good Dr?

Thanks very much!

Skin cancer is not common among Thai so there are very few such doctors with real world experience and indeed even in Bangkok most seem to recommended to travel to a doctor in Pattaya Bangkok Hospital as she is one of few with experience treating foreign skin types.  That is not to say other doctors can not be good - but detection is often a judgement call based on experience for this type of treatment so those with experience are likely to be able to make the better prognosis.   Dr. Anna is often recommended.

If you must use a local doctor be sure to opt for biopsy if there is any doubt at all.
