I tired one of those online doctor services "heal^^tap."  You can ask a question for free in you don't mind waiting a day or so.  I asked if Enaril could cause loose stools.

The doctor wrote me back and said "stop taking Enaril for a couple of weeks and see if your condition improves"  I think I read somewhere that suddenly stopping Enaril can be dangerous.  Has anyone else heard that?

Yes, it is dangerous to abruptly stop BP medication without  substituting a different drug, and this should preferrably be done  under a doctor's supervision.

Pretty much any oral medication can cause stomach upset of various types in some people, including diarrhea.

Did the loose stools start right after you began taking enaril?

Within the first year of taking enaril, concor, lipitor, aspirin.  I've stopped and switched the lipitor with other similar meds pretty much eliminated it as a suspect.  Now I'm cutting down the enaril gradually over 3 months so when I see my doctor again we can discuss it.  I take my blood pressure daily 120 - 130 over 60 - 70.  My Dr is not like a House MD with drugs.  I do most of my own investigation and prescribing.  That's why I thought the on line thing would be good for a second opinion but apparently the doctors there are no better than the one I have now.

Biggest problem I had with Enaril was a constant cough. I switched to Diovan (Valsartan) which was more expensive but without side-effects.
