Reading a lot about turmeric, with  new studies suggesting huge health benefits if we include it in our diets, inc  cancer, pain relief and many other ailments.

The tricky bit is that turmeric (and it's magic ingredient curcumin ) is hard to absorb into the blood stream. Studies show it's best to add it to food and it seems that adding 5% black pepper can make it more potent.

A daily smoothy using coconut milk as a 'carrier' may be a good way to go.

Actually only one  "study" is reported on in this article and it was done informally, not reported on n any scientific literature and is highly unlikely to have met international scientific research standards. Very small sample size and too short a duration to track health outcomes, among other things.  And it's results did not show what is claimed above. Only that there was a change in what may have been DNA methylation (unclearly reported - this is not a scientific article).

There is indeed interest in possible health effects of curcumin and research to that point underway,  but it is far from being established .
