Transfer money from Singapore to Philippines

My friend works in Singapore and regularly transfers money from there to the Philippines - presently using one of the many remittance booths scattered around the place.  Main problems with this arrangement are that the queues are long and therefore the wait-time excessive.  Any suggestions about better options that are easy (preferably using the internet), secure and with reasonable fees/charges?
