The 'preview post' option seems to have gone.

Bringing it back could mean less editing of existing posts.

 

It isn't gone. It's evoked by pressing the symbol that looks like a magnifying glass on a sheet of paper next to the font and size buttons.

 

 It should simply be marked "preview" since there is enough spare room there to write a whole sentence, but that would be too user-friendly for this ingeniously designed forum wouldn't it?
