What's the Most Surprising Thing You've Learned About Living in Thailand?
Always know when to stop arguing with the Thai. If you think you're right and you think you have a valid point, and you try to get that across to a Thai person, and they do not want to hear it, it's best to just back off. Thais can be very stubborn, and sometimes you just simply have to know when to quit. -

Police Commissioner’s Remarks on Immigration and Riots “rebellion to illegal immigration.”
Honestly, which MPs are "in touch with the street?" A handful of back-benchers like Galloway who are ignored or procedural shut down when they speak, and then call "A Danger To UK Democracy" by those elitists like Sunak, Cameron, Blair and the other pig-swill who take to their podiums to urinate on the democratic will of the people when they vote for those MP who actually represent the will of the street. Then the street explodes (and you expected what?) And the elitist's response is to double-down on totalitarianism and to lambast anyone who attempts to see the world through the eyes of the people on the street as they look down their Oxford and Cambridge educated noses and scoff at the commoners in their high-brow nasally London accents which personally makes me want to puke every time I hear it. It's time for serious change as virtually all "leaders," globally, are out of touch with those whom they are supposed to represent when in actuality they only represent the monied interests of the wealthy, the aristocracies, and the billionaire-classes, and the commoners on the street be damned. -

It would help if you mentioned where you live. And are you single or do you have kids etc. Those two bits of information would have a huge bearing on the advice you will get. -

How reliable are public transportation options compared to owning a car in Thailand?
We live in the sticks so a car is essential......if we lived in BKK I wouldn't even consider keeping it. Public transport is fine within and to and from the cities. If you need a car once in a while, hire one....cheap as chips.- 2

Kamala Harris Poised to Succeed Where Hilary Clinton Failed?
I actually think she was quite a competent politician, and I think she would have made a good president. Her husband was a remarkably good president. But I don't think she was a good campaigner, she made a lot of mistakes, and said a lot of incredibly stupid things. -
