Need Some Advice

i entered Thailand on 8/9/2006 with a 2 month tourist visa issued in gibraltar, i am 27 with a uk passport. i have been in Samui since then an got my 30 day extension from the nathon immigration. my visa runs out on the 5/12/2006 but my fight isnt until the 14/12/2006. i went back to the immigration in nathon an explained my problem an was told just to pay the overstay fine at the airport on my exit. this sort of scares me incase for some reason i get asked to produce my passport between the time it expires an the date i leave. Is it possible for me to make a border run an get the 30day visa or anyone any ideas what i should do?

Believe Ranong is the closest to you or a trip to Malaysia. If you went to immigration on your last day the most they could probably provide would be 7 days which is not enough to a border crossing and return with 30 day stamp is the best idea. Overstay is not a good idea.

You can get a mini bus to Had Yai in the morning. Arive in the afternoon. Get the mini bus to Pedang Bezzaa (spelt wrong) . Do the crossing. Visit the duty free shop. Back to Had Yai and spend the night there before getting the mini bus back to Samui the next morning. Nice and leisurely and works out the same price as a risk your life day trip. :o:D
