Thai Police Commission Validates Decision to Dismiss Police General Surachate Hakpar
Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced, on 7 August, that he will forward the order to dismiss Deputy National Police Chief Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn for royal endorsement. This follows the Police Virtue Protection Committee's decision yesterday affirming the legality of the order. When he was questioned about waiting for Pol Gen Surachate to appeal to the Administrative Court, Srettha emphasised that while Pol Gen Surachate has the right to appeal, the committee's decision requires moving forward with the royal endorsement request. -

What's behind the current THB strength?
Sorry but I'm afraid YOU are the clueless one . . . . probably because you've spent 19 years on this forum. Of course it's manipulation. When the yen gets too weak, the BoJ steps in and sells dollars to buy up yen to arrest the decline. That intervention IS manipulation. Now you might take issue with the use of that word but that's of no consequence to the market or its participants. You can call it what you like but it is what it is. -

Digital wallet as social engineering
This only serves surveillance. CBDC serves active control, steering people. Big difference, and this what the article, especially the quoted comment, is all about -

If the Revenue dept take a simplistic view (likely as it is the easy way) all remittances will be looked at as income and you will have to prove otherwise. -

SSA Form 7162 Time Again
Just FYI. As of today, I have still not received my 7162. I sent an email to FBU Manila asking them what I should do. They sent me back a copy of the form 7162 and asked that I fill it out and send it to the address they specified. The blank form they sent me is missing some filled in fields like the one I received last year but I am going to go ahead and mail this as they have suggested. -

Southport Stabbing: Child Killed and Several Injured in Taylor Swift-Themed Workshop Attack
Just tell me one thing in my comment that you have made this reply to that is untrue; you can call my comment an Islamophobic diatribe as often as you like, but everything I said is factual. I have explained to you countless times that my fear of Islam is based on sound, logical, and rational thinking; and every time you falsely accuse me of Islamophobia I will defend my position. -

Army Orders Mental Health Checks for Trainers After Chiang Mai Abuse Incident
What battlefield might that ever be? Where exactly is the necessity for a large military here? I understand there is a need to prevent any countries from taking over a country, but who would? Keeping protesters at bay is about all the battle they'll see.Abusing recruits doesn't teach them anything besides anger. They should look at what happens to so many youth here without role models, and violence is taught here in many ways, and never works. -
