Motorbike test, tax and insurance in Nimenam area

Featured Replies

The trouble with gentrification is all the useful little places move out as land prices go up. Both my mechanics have gone now the test centre on Soi 17 Nimenam has gone.

Anyone know a centre near Nimenam that can do my motorbike's annual test, tax it and do the insurance?

Nat Motor (Honda agent) just up Huay Kaew from the Nimman intersection.

Didn't know that Nat did the bike test etc.

Are they the same price as everywhere else?

Not sure about exact price but seemed very reasonable.

I just had it done there with my Suzuki Raider at the Huay Kaew Honda place.  660 baht for inspection and all the rest.  Had my sticker one week later.

They're on the south side of Huay Kaew about halfway between Maya and The Harbor.

HeyBruce - just found your other thread and your reply above.

Last year Soi 15 charged just over 500 Baht - that includes the 5 Baht fee to do the tax for you. Can not see how others think it is worth driving all the way across town to save 5 Baht.

Nat seem to be charging more, or of course insurance etc might have gone up, but as you say it is close, 15 minutes walk for me!

Been to NAT and done everything.

For those interested, tax 140 Baht (it has gone up I am told) 20 Baht fine for being a few days late (that has gone up from 1 Baht) insurance 330 Baht, same as last year, testing the bike 60 Baht, total 530 Baht if you do it on time.

That seems to be the same as Soi 15 used to charge but it was longer, took around half an hour instead of the 10 minutes before. Also they only seem to give the sticker on Monday - or a week later. Not sure which!

Also got the bike serviced, 357 Baht including oil and new spark plug.
