Dear thaivisa.com members,

I would greatly appreciate ur kind provision of helpful information Re ;

"online ONLY"* university** degree course*** from anywhere worldwide that are :

1.1

internationally recognised as legitimate university degree

1.2

rapidly achieved [ e.g. 1 year ]

1.3

"free" or "for very little cost" to range of foreigners

Foreigner is  either "at enrollment for", or "commencement of", or "during", course a Falang  based in ASEAN

British Open University degree courses -- although "excellent", & "very good value [ relative to typical pursuit of university graduate awards ]", are :

x]

too expensive for my limited budget

y]

too long in duration to complete at their earliest

* Set examination at venue such as cultural institute of some foreign embassy -- e.g. British Consulate --  is :

a]

permissible by the university

b]

AND   at only very little extra cost -- no more than approx THB 500 - THB 4,000 -- to student

** The term "university" is used generically here ;

    The education institution can be University or College or Institute or similar

*** I personally would be interested in degree majoring in :

Business

Design & Innovation ; Or similar

Humanities ; vis. English language Literature

Law

Thanking u in advance for ur kind helpful answers,

What is your starting point education wise?

Already completed one or two years at uni? Maybe a further year would net you a degree.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Unless you already have a substantial number of credits from an accredited college you will not be able to get a degree in only one year, anywhere.

A very, very bright person working very hard at it might finish a 4 year degree in 2 1/2 - 3 years. No one can do it in one.

You can buy one on Khao San Road I think :stoner:

Are you an EU citizen? (you don't have to be living in the EU, just hold a passport from an EU country).

If so, then tuition fees for all Bachelor and Mater's degree courses in Sweden, Finland and Norway are ZERO!  Yes, you don't have to pay 1 euro to study online or on-campus for a degree from universities in these countries.

I am planning to study online for an MA in Adult Learning next year.

Here is an example of some degree courses from Sweden:

https://www.universityadmissions.se/intl/search?period=HT_2017&distance=on&graduateLevel=on&semesterPart=0&languageOfInstruction=en

Or you can do a search on:

http://www.distancelearningportal.com

All these degree courses are offered by 'real' universities, with zero tuition fees for EU citizens.  But none of them will meet your criteria of just 1 year of study.

At this juncture, I wish to express sincere thanks for constructive information, & constructive opinions given already.

.

I trust that original post & its particular heading, & especially the very useful replies by posters here will be a great service to me personally, &  many other readers of thaivisa.com.

.

Even if the likes of 1 year or thereabouts "quickie" legitimate degree programs do not exist, I contend, &  I posit a great many true professors would likewise, that "quickie" degrees should exist thus.

But, obviously not for certain more challenging fields of learning.

.

Ditto certain craft apprenticeships should have "quickie" route option.

.

.

Too thought provocative a scenario for some to accept presently perhaps.

But, not to be interpreted as denigrating the sincere arduous application of those -- teachers & students -- who have engaged in typical 3 or 4 years degree programs.

Hi James 1995,

I am inclined to think that "the degree ur friend bought off the internet" would be of same legitimacy as "degree bought on Khaosan Road degree ?

8-)

Anyway, I am interested in knowing more ;

Not that I will "buy a degree".

e.g.'s

1.

How does it actually "work for him" ?

2.

If of "Khaosan Road" legitimacy AND he gets teaching position or other job in Thailand, or some other country that u care to mention, surely he is at tremendous risk of being enquired about to the attributed university etc., & then brought to task for being bogus [ if that is indeed the case ] ?

Why are you interested if you are not going to do it. Is all this blablabla just to try to impress people to get a teaching position? When you start teaching will you use this language to your pupils too? Surely hope not as you will look a bit like a tw..

Hi FritzSikkink,

U are making assumptions ;

And, wrong ones.

.

I am not here to be chatty or argumentative.

.

I am here just to facilitate getting the information I require, & hopefully help others to benefit likewise in the process ;

Hence the particular style I adopt here.

When I about to contribute lyrically etc. in another thread, I hope to notify u in advance.
