Thai Airways flight grounded after engine ‘bangs’ during Phuket takeoff

PHUKET: -- Thai Airways has refused to comment on a flight from Phuket to Bangkok being cancelled after loud bangs were reported coming from one of the plane’s engines while accelerating for takeoff from Phuket International Airport on Tuesday night (Nov 29).

PHUKET: -- Following the death of a 22-year-old motorcyclist who broke his neck Thursday night ramming into a concrete blockade on the lane alongside the Phuket Airport runway, authorities have requested a 72 million baht budget to fix and widen the road.

PHUKET: -- Official from Kamala Tambon Administration Office (OrBorTor) have confirmed that they have removed seven rusty steel rods that were buried in the sand at Kamala Beach.
