Official marriage registration at Amphur took us about 40mins. Marriage certificates were handed over immediately. That was Mueang Buriram Amphur. May be different elsewhere.

About an hour at Sathorn. Certificates were signed and handed over immediately.

I would point out we visited a few days before with our documents to check everything was in order.

Wow- 2 separate topics about amphur weddings from two different posters in one evening?  Amazing.  I will say here what I said on the other one.  From anecdotal evidence some Amphurs simply will not register foreigners' marriage regardless. Best to check your particular office in advance.

I think it would be reasonable to say that the majority of foreigners in Thailand who get married marry Thai citizens. In this case there should be no problem registering the marriage at any district office.

For a marriage with two non-Thai people I can understand that there might be difficulties from time to time with some district offices.
