Cop hurt in failed jailbreak in Jomtien

PATTAYA:--Two jail inmates are back behind bars after a failed escape attempt at Pattaya Provincial Court.

 

Kaseam Wongcharoen, 30, and Prawee Kasena, 30, were apprehended shortly after making a break for it from the second-floor restroom of the Jomtien Beach courthouse Nov. 25.

 

Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Som­boon Srikamkit, who was guarding the pair, was knocked unconscious and stripped of his uniform in the attempt. The 46-year-old officer was treated for his injuries at a local hospital.

 

Security guard Somporn Samutkiri said the incident began while Somboon was taking the two men charged with rape, weapons and drug charges to a hearing. They asked to use the restroom and, while there, they overpowered the officer, slamming his head into the wall until he fell unconscious.

The Devil apparently works in mysterious ways sometimes after that sort of thing happens and takes the law into his own hands though
