RWD or Rear Engine Hatch Registration?

Thinking of converting a hatch to rwd, anyone know if you can register the conversion easily? or would it be impossible. Also thinking if I went all out, make it rear engine to open up the engine possibilities for the conversion. Main question would be the registration, if its not possible perhaps I'll keep it fwd and just add some mods on it and call it a day.

Why not just add a second engine in the back ? Twice the power, 4WD and no need to tell Somchai about the "surprise" in the rear :)
