My guess would be Mueang Khon Kaen (Khon Kaen City)?  But admit it is a new one on me.

It was my guess also but wanted a confirmation.

I also sometimes casually use KKC the airport code for Khon Kaen.

KK for short

Good luck finding the guy without the stamp here on Thaivisa.

Maybe.

Surely Immi has his address?

Stamp it and mail it to him.

If he took everything with him when he left, how would they know his name to find his address?

Stamp what?

It turned out this gentleman had left the Immigration with his passport and paperwork, without getting the stamp he needed.

By KKC, I meant Khon Kaen City (yes like the airport code).

Hopefully the gentleman looks at his passport and realizes he is soon on an overstay.

PS.

They called my wife since she had already been asked to put down her mobile number on my application.

Stamp what exactly? as he left with passport and all paper work?? seems odd as when immigration look at paper work they never give it back unless there was a problem with it.? and they stamp passport ect before they give it back.

Doesn't sound quite right to me.

The stamp is a proof that you have more days here.

;-)

On several occasions, people were told to go and copy something more, including myself.

I needed to make an extra copy of my passport together with the departure card.

This resulted in the people, including me, took all their paperwork and passport with them.

In the meantime a new number comes up on the board, and a new applicant comes forward.

When the previous applicant comes back, he/she basically just hand over to the same (now busy) officer, then take another seat to wait for the passport (with a new stamp in it).

As to the kind remark in ID 11. Thank you.  I believe most members here, despite our sometimes very heated arguments, would do the same.

No you did not understand I quoted someone saying can'tthey just stamp it and send it to him. my reply was stamp what he took his passport with him.

Yes I know about getting extra work done ie photo copies but if the chap was handed all his paperwork back and passport surley he should have known something was amiss.

I see your point.

:-)

I remember myself the first time I did this, alone, with minimum understanding, I must have looked like a less developed person.
