Minivan to Hua Hin

Featured Replies

They stopped the minivan service from Victory Monument to Hua Hin, so are their minivans from Mochit or Southern bus terminal or other options?

well, should be pretty obvious-moved to Sai Thai. Did not see any at Mochit-but then did not really check all the 100+ from there.

Note that the VANs have moved to what most people now call OLD Sai Thai but what used to be NEW Sai Thai-BEFORE the big bridge in that long road! There are many superbig signs to point this to taxidrivers along the road-but you may have to remind them that they should NOT go up the sky-express-way before.

The nr of big-size 1st cl buses has dwindled even furhter from the now new(est) Sai Thai-official name is Sai Thai Taling Chan, but many vans ALSO call there (most likely you will have to wait for them to first leave their terminus for a fone-arranged pick up from their stands). This Sai Thai has after a year or 2 of near emptiness been revived as a giant 2nd hand clothes/fashion outlet and there is now also a giant and pretty good NIGHTmarket beside-starts around dusk.

Best ALT is the hourly BELL bus from Swampy. Or plan C-the train-always promoted by a self-appointed bunch of SRT-lovers.

There is a big new mini van bus terminus. They call it Mo Chit 2. It is far better organised than the old VICTORIA Monument chaos. It is in the area called Chatuchak. I got a bus to HuaHin just about 2 weeks ago. 180Baht. 2 and a half hour trip. Very easy. See the attached screen grab of the google map. 8b0cdebe83cc654a4b3149c113b2e344.jpg
