Computer novice here.

I started having a problem with "ReimageRepair" a day or so ago.  I have no idea what I probably clicked on to get this to keep popping up

As of today, it shows up whenever I click on many other things.

I looked to uninstall it, in case I had installed it, but I couldn't find anything to delete or uninstall.

Any ideas for what I should do?

Thanks

Terry

Thanks.

When I try to do step 2, every click brings up Reimage Repair.  I'm unable to follow the directions because of that.

Did you first trying removing it as shown how in the first half or so of the approx 2 minute video?   Then download/run the malware remover.

Maybe try to disconnect from network beforehand.

I thought the goal was uninstalling the stuff doing the crap re-direct.

Here's hoping that lack of a connection will throw an error that will cause it to reveal itself, eg a popup saying "C:\crap\junk\painintheass.exe cannot connect to network" and he now knows what to get rid of.

Thanks for the help so far.  Still a problem.

I can't even find the file or folder with the .exe files listed.

Terry

When you say you can't find it, do you mean when your open the Windows Task Manager and then select Processes tab it not listed?   That is, as shown in the video above.

Or are you looking for the .exe file another way?

The malware has probably put a redirect in your Hosts' file. Download malwarebytes in an internet cafe, save it to a USB stick and install it to your computer from there.
