I'm going to stay in, and watch some paint dry.

Only an American would even consider the notion of a bar full of people sitting around watching an inauguration. That just wouldn't happen in a pub in UK, or much of the world, I imagine, be it a US inauguration or a local newly-elected Prime Minister.

 

I'm reminded of being in a Chiang Mai pub full of people gawping at the Live broadcast of the funeral of Lady Di on the TV.  Strangely(?), plenty of the customers were American, and since business was so good (those cups of tea and milk shakes add up)  the owner invited every one back for the Mother Teresa send-off the following week, but no-one showed up!!

Based on today's news, there is every chance there will be a live stream.

 

I can't wait!  It is one of those times that people will remember where they were when it happened!... The first Russian President of the USSA inaugurated!!
