Thanx mate,i do like to keep abreast of any of my countries constitions.

Let's be honest Dave , once Ena Sharples , sex goddess that she was, disappeared, there was no further reason to watch the street. Thai women will always be a poor second to Ena. Oh what I would give to have one of her hair nets.

Denim.

I will never forget the day when it happened.I was in the kitchen, just making the yule tide gruel, that i so enjoy. When i was struck by the most beautiful voice i had ever heard.Oh,siren of the seas,oh, haunting and melodious aire.A thousand harps played by angels could not compare.I had to know the name of this creature whom owned such star speckled larynx.I crept into the lounge, where the TV was ensconced, eyes shut,i shuffled to the chair, sat and opened my eyes.I gripped both chair arms for fear of being thrust form it by the sight of this celestial being that held me in such rapture. My eyes then fell on the singer,of the heavenly aria that had made me her slave forever. Her name was Hilda Ogden! Oh wonderful muse,oh,divine messenger of all the gods.

I have never really got over the loss of Hilda.I have never found anything her equal throughout my travel over the known world to find her equal.I have accepted defeat and have now,(like Christian Fletcher and the mutineers) settled in this country, that is Siam.I have looked but not found, what i have forever lost. The female of my choice tries to placate me by warbling the odd musical ditty. And i try to accept it.But what i cannot stand is the infernal screeching,at this time of year.I feel close to the act of murder, when i hear her screeching "yinger ben, yinger ben, yinger aw der way" I tell her that she helps enormously,to soften the loss of Hilda, but one day i will lose my sanity and strangle the chicken that emits these dreadful songs.

Take care when buying a box now. Kodi 17 requires Android 5.0 or higher.

Some sellers will try to push boxes(Old stock) to you that only support Android 4.4 and Kodi 17 will not work on this version of Android.

Let Google and Youtube be your friend as there is good information there.

There are places that sell fully loaded boxes in both Bangkok and Pattaya but again ensure you get a box with Android version 5.0 or higher.

Boxes are not that difficult to load yourself if you do some research.

Pm me if you need any assistance.

My 4.4 android box runs kodi 17 beta no problem so does my phone running 4.4

Interseting that the beta versions are working and hopefully they will continue to work well because I have a couple of older boxes but the official  site itself states 5.0 is a minimum.

It will be interestig to see what happens with first formal release, I guess there are 2 possibilities.

(i) They will prevent it from installing on less than 5.0, in which case one of the forks such as SPMC may be made to work

(ii) It will insatll but will be unsupported.

Time will tell,,

This info was for the Alpha

Android 5.0 Lollipop (or later) as minimum

Over the years the Android platform started to mature and catch up to the other platforms regarding capabilities. This also means that we can drop all the custom code we had to add in the beginning to get Kodi running at all as that’s now becoming obsolete. One of those from back in the days was libStageFright  which we dropped in a previous release and was replaced by the standard MediaCodec from Android. With v17 we have started to clean up all the old implementations which sadly also means we had to set the minimum Android version to at least 5.0 Lollipop. It’s uncertain at this time if we even hove to go higher and set minimum to Android 6.0 Marshmallow as this contains certain features we need to improve Kodi. For now you are safe if you at least have Android 5.0 Don’t worry you can keep using Kodi v16 on all previous Android versions however you just can upgrade to a newer Kodi version.

Yes I read that but so far all is well works ok still prefer kodi v16 better interface. But that could be me (once I know something I hate change lol).

Have anot her Android box running 5.1 I think it is. If it disappears from 4.4 will use that then hack the 4.4 and put a higher spec user rom on it.

I think you can change the skin back to Confluence in 17.0 so it looks the same (mostly) as before but some of the menu structures are a little different, still.

I've got an old rockcip RK3188 based device and I've not been able to find a custom rom for that to take it up to 5.0

I've also got an AIS playbox and I wouldn't even know where to start looking for a custom ROM for that other than it gets reported as being an N200 but if I just randomly try something based on that theres a real bricking possibility.
