Pib
If using the Thai Postal System just go to their webpage and use their postal calculation/shipping calculator. http://www.thailandpost.com/index.php?page=rate_result&country_code=US&weight=

Up to you....depends on how fast you want to get it there. Just play with the various shipping methods and click the + symbol for additional info/cost like for registered. Be sure to select English language in case the web link I gave you comes up in Thai. For example Intl Small Packet SAL would cost Bt74 plus Bt65 to register it. And you can probably have the post office pack it for you....the post office I use has a section in the waiting area where you buy boxes/stamps/etc., and they will also pack it up for you. Then you just address it and take it to the postal counter for mailing.
Shot
I try to be helpful when I can, but this is one of those "good gravy" moments.

briley
Either, don't seal the package, just string and staples and send by small package air mail or Seal the package and send by normal air mail - cost is about 50% higher. Both get through in the same time and both can be registered for a tiny additional price.
transam
Wrap the thing up, write the address on it and air mail top left hand corner, JUST talk AIR mail.....You don't need fancy tracking...
