PM invites parents to bring their children to visit Government House today

BANGKOK:-- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha on Friday invited children to visit the Government House on Children’s Day today (Saturday) where, he said, there are many edutainment activities being arranged for them besides the usual ritual of sitting on his chair when he convenes a cabinet meeting.

The prime minister said parents should bring their children to the Government House to watch an animation picture, entitled “Magic Town of Imaginary City”, which was based on the story, “Magic Town: the World’s Capital” which was authored by the late Supreme Patriarch in 1970.

He said that he wanted Thailand, Thai people and children to be like the characters shown in the animation picture – that is to have conscience, to be able to distinguish good from bad.

How apt with the dinosaurs. We have these seating in Government House and the way Thailand is sliding backwards to the warlord days.

Yes, that is exactly what I thought immediately on seeing that picture: a portrait of the current 'government' and their vision of 'progress'!

“Teachers today should expand their role like a bridge that the government and the National Council for Peace and Order has been trying to perform to bring knowledge to the communities, to strengthen their wisdom with the King’s knowledge and the philosophy of sufficiency economy upon Pracharath mechanism for prosperity and improvement of livelihood,” said the prime minister.

The simple life is the good life.

Now all that man needs to publish - instead of mediocre songs - is a little red book containing his sage wisdom, and then we'll be almost there.
