This is a ret!

Featured Replies

My 6 year old boy came home from school a couple of days ago and as we always do have a chat about what he has been doing in school on that day. On that day he told me his teacher was holding up pictures and telling the kids what was on them, she held up one and said this is a ret. My lad said to her that's not a ret it's a rat..... ret rat ret rat and so it went on. I dropped him off myself this morning and the teacher pulled me aside and asked is this a ret or a rat? I told her it was a rat and she thanked me. Picked the lad up later and he said daddy she said it was a ret again today, she doesn't know does she? I said no.

Maybe she does not want to say the word rat as it has some double meaning in Thai. (hippo and surely you know the other)

What she really said if your hearing was up to scratch was "Is this a let or a lat"

it would  be a ret if you were  a  NEW ZEALANDER

No it was ret and she is not thai.

I suppose you should be grateful that your boy wasn't punished for his insubordination.

Remember the lad who got 99 whacks?
