NEW VISA RULES

For Expat residents, many new rules and some pretty heavy fines involved….

Be aware that.

1.       You must report that you are a resident here in any place that you stay immediately. Initially. 10,000 baht fine if not complied with.

2.       If you leave the country for more than 24 hours and return you must also report through the condominium office/hotel/legal residence upon return with a copy of your TM30 Card that you have done that. Home owners/lease holders/usufruct holders etc, have a completely different challenge.

3.       If you stay in a hotel somewhere here in the country the hotel has to report that you stayed there but supposedly that is not our responsibility. But we never know???? 1700baht fine.

Nothing new. 

Many reports of people being fined for well over a year now.

Unless you are the owner of a hotel and etc there is no fine of 10k baht. The max fine is 2000 baht for individuals.
