Raymonddiaz
why light sentences? The court needed to give an example .

ezzra
In any other 'civilized' country, those cops would have been sent to much longer jail sentences, severely disciplined, demoted or even sacked from the police force, and the injured parties would be entitled to a hefty compensations, How hard would it be to be part of those group of countries?...... z42
Absolutely disgusting. Pathetic sentencing considering that some poor lad got dished out an 11 year sentence for supposed LM content on his own private emails. These crooked cops deserve to be doing well in excess of 5 years. And worst of all they all got bail the same day. Thailand has the most pathetic justice system i have seen, where else in the world can a person be given bail after they have been convicted and sentenced by the courts? Feel like am in the parallel universe again

grumbleweed
I think opening fire is a little over the top, but once you've taught them, the urge to give them a good kicking becomes perfectly natural

Bluespunk
''The three officers were however released on 500,000 baht bail each following their conviction.'' So the ''men in black'' are found innocent [whether they are or not is another issue] but are sent back to gaol, however these BIB are found guilty yet are released on bail. It's a funny old world... Impossible ezzra. I doubt if they will serve any jail time but they should have been fired. timewilltell
Of course one can;t really comment about court sentencing or about anything else really as there are so many gagging laws to protect the incompetent, corrupt and criminal. The whole system would probably collapse the moment they repeal these disgusting anit-civil rights laws.
