Thailand’s New Digital Arrival Card Causes Confusion
Thailand’s New Digital Arrival Card Causes Confusion Thailand is ditching its TM6 arrival form on May 1, replacing it with the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). While intended to modernise entry procedures, the rollout has been chaotic. Travellers must now submit personal and travel details online to receive a QR code for immigration, but confusing instructions and a non-functional tutorial are causing widespread frustration. It's unclear if the TDAC replaces customs forms or if paper forms are still needed. Regardless of visa type, all foreign nationals must fill it out. With just weeks to go, Thailand’s attempt at digital immigration reform is facing serious growing pains. -

Another Positive Move by Trump (hint: Kid Rock)
Funny. The Trump administration is now making a point of consumers giving up nonessentials in order to focus on buying homes and getting their kids an education. Apparently, attending rock concerts is essential to their well-being. -

Earthquake Tremors Shake Thai Tourism Confidence
Earthquake Tremors Shake Thai Tourism Confidence A powerful 7.7 earthquake in Myanmar has rattled Thailand’s tourism sector, already grappling with safety concerns. Buildings in Bangkok shook, prompting 10% of foreign tourists to check out early, with international arrivals expected to drop by up to 15% in the next two weeks. The Thai Hotels Association and government are working to reassure visitors, conducting safety audits. With tourism contributing 13% of GDP and employing 20% of the workforce, the economic stakes are high. Songkran bookings remain below pre-COVID levels, especially among hesitant Chinese tourists. Experts warn this could derail the forecast of 38.1 million tourist arrivals in 2025. -

Another Positive Move by Trump (hint: Kid Rock)
If it oversteps into state power, then it is illegal, no matter how well intentioned. This is a for show distraction and will do absolutely nothing tof substance to protect consumers. Rather odd that the concept is now embraced as a great idea, when it is the MAGA states who have enabled the unfair profiteering. It has been progressive states that enacted legislation to protect consumers. The 39 state AGs and federal class action against Live Nation/Ticket Master is being led by the AGs of predominately Democrat states. The case has been so compelling that multiple Republican states have bowed to public presure and joined. However, since Trump's election, there is pressure on the federal government to stop the litigation, It is the MAGA states who enable the ripoffs.Examples are; - Arkansas law prohibits local governments from banning the sale or resale of a ticket at any price. - Florida law prohibits the original ticket seller from taking certain actions against a person who purchases or resells a ticket; and preempts regulation of the sale or resale of tickets to the state. Trump is trying to get out in front of a wave of public anger.- 1
