Please recommend a professional PC / gaming computer builder

Featured Replies

I'm looking to build a graphics workstation from specific parts (not a preconfigured box you can buy off a website) so maybe a store that specialises in building high end gaming computers would be ideal - the knowhow required for both is basically the same.

Ideally I'm looking for an 'Invade IT' that is based in Chiang Mai. These guys seem to conduct themselves very professionally but I prefer to deal with someone locally for obvious reasons.

Seconded.  But their branch at the back left hand corner of Computer Plaza on the moat near Ram hospital seems to be best in terms of help specifying a machine to meet your requirements.  Have used them for almost ten years and they've always dealt fairly with any issues post purchase.  Very professional, which is saying something in that business around here.

Good speed is adequate for normal computers but if you are looking for high end gaming that is better than Alienware, you might need to go to bkk.

If you are looking for a water cooled system with dual graphics cards or better, I don't think they can handle that at goodspeed. I have had hit and miss with them.

They've been showing water cooled gear at their Computer Plaza branch but I doubt there's a huge market for that level of machine in CM so in terms of experience you may be right.

putting together a graphics workstation isn't more complicated than a regular gaming PC.

just use lots of RAM and use VGA cards designed for CAD, such as a quadro M6000. 4K monitor won't hurt either.

Sorry, but a real top gaming machine burns so hot, it will destroy most layouts unless really thought out.  When you are spending 1k dollars plus per graphics card and you have 3 or 4 of them, you might want to be cautious.

OP wants a GRAPHICS WORKSTATION, not a gaming PC.

CAD VGA cards run much less hot than their gaming counterparts, many don't even need active cooling.

I have a 'Cooler Master' system with large fan and never had a problem and my machine is................fast

Go to Panthip Plaza, back of the bottom floor. There is a shop that specializes in high-end gaming machines with water cooling, numerous high-end fans and so forth.

JIB Computer at Panthip or any of the main computer centers.  Specialize in building computers.  A number of water cooled on display at their new Icon Square store.
