The Royal Thai Police is questioning six people handed over by the military after they were arrested in Udon Thani province for allegedly stealing a total of 885 handguns and assault rifles from a border patrol police company 245 in 2012.

Taking charge of interrogating the seven suspects was Pol Gen Srivara Rangsipramanakul.

The military handed over all the men to the police to find out whether they had any link to the so-called “Khon Kaen” model, an anti government armed resistance group in 2012.

Wow!!  This is a blast from the past!

I thought this case was firmly hidden under the carpet.

So the army have found out who did it now the RTP have to decide is the "suspects" had some vague political motive. I wonder if the "suspects" are civilians or military folk?

So they try to revive the Khon Kaen model BS again....:coffee1:

It is already proven that the redshirts were the blackshirts that fired at the army.. So this is not such a huge leap. If they can prove this then it will again shown the red shirts for who they are.

And the military once again prove, for the 18th time that their interference in Thai politics for self protection of their position is once again going to fail.

Yet why should they stop as some still believe and support this interference and totally ignore their crimes against society which should result in any civilised country being charged and then executed for treason.

They initially tried to charge the guys you are talking about for firing.  They paraded them with black clothes and showed reconstruction pictures of them firing guns. However they did not find any proof. All they could do is charge them for possession of weapon, and get 2 of them convicted. Who were the ones who fired remains unsolved yet.

They are black shirts... so the red shirts where black shirts.. hard to find the ones who fired as they were all masked. (just like terrorists). Anyway by showing the red shirts were the black shirts.. this is also quite likely, why else steal so many arms. Proving things in a court is always hard.. but showing it is likely is a different thing. Anyway proven in court.. red shirts are black shirts.. now if they prove this too it will show an armed insurrection could have been in the books.

Amazing it took the army to round them up, wonder why the BIB couldn't do it - wouldn't have anything to do with an ex policeman who was also in politics who likes wheeling and dealing and is considered to be  still relevant by many, now would it?

Two men convicted of weapon detention. Only one of them identified as black shirt by a photo he says is fake. All five stated they had been tortured while under military detention. That's all you have.

But I have no doubt it will comfort you in your favorite scenario.....

A court of law convicted them its fact.. you can keep al your red propaganda for yourself. They even not convinced a few for the ones they convicted the evidence was strong.  YL and her red terrorist wing.. sounds real democratic.. NOT.

The facts are exactly what I state in my post. All the rest is inference by yourself from the case of one single guy.(provided it had been a fair investigation).

The facts are they were convicted in a court of law to be black shirts, the sister of one of them even testified against him and weapons were found on him. Now you can try to twist and turn but you defending terrorists.

They were convicted of illegal possession of weapons. If you carefully read the news, only one of them is identified as man in black. No mention is made about it for the other one (the one his sister testified against).

However, they did have been paraded in black clothes after their arrest, were led to make a reconstruction of the killing of Romklao, were  alledged to be in connection with a red shirt leader, etc...

Again, this is proof the men in black were red shirts and had weapons.. done and dusted proven in a court of law. So stop denying it the red shirts are at least partly responsible for the deaths during the riots.. had they not fired on the army this would not have happened.
