No doubt with the blessing of the masses.........................:whistling:!

You can make as many revised changes to a constitution as you want providing they are not included into the constitution without approval, have the people agreed to the change , if not why not ......................................................:coffee1:

While the "changes" have to remain "secret" I assume that they will have to publish it at some point?

Or will it be a secret constitution which can only be "interpreted" by the "good people"?

I'm sure there will be a Nida poll along soon that says 98.8 % understand the need for changes to the constitution and fully endorse them.

It was pretty much a secret when the people were asked to vote on it!

I think you're referring to a real constition. One that represents and protects the citizens. This constitution is different. It only protects the rights of some people and therefore they should be the only ones consulted.

The changes are being kept secret until the new constitution is published.

Henry Hale: I fear the presence of the outsiders will attract those of whom we do not speak.
Female Elder #2: But if you talk about those of whom we do not speak, have you not spoken of that about which we do not talk.
Henry Hale: Do not speak of that of about which we talk of not speaking... about.

what a disgusting display of wanton disregard for the people.  Almost inconceivable in this age of electronic communication.  Change the thing after it was supposedly voted on, not to mention people couldn't discuss the original, not to mention the takeover in the first place and tossing out the constitution, and of course the coup can and will likely do whatever they want whenever they want.  Asking for endorsement from the King?  Does that have any legal standing?  No, but of course it gives the PM leverage to use the new charter since nobody will speak against what is presumed to be the King's wishes.  So sad to see such a generally decent people be led down this path

"...the revisions would have no impact on people in general..."

No need for a secret constitution.

The military takes no oath to defend the constitution nor be bound by the constitution and operates outside the jurisprudence of the constitution when it deems necessary. This has been evidenced by repeated military coups that immediately abolish constitutions with immunity. In fact the new constitution gives the military the RIGHT to overthrow an elected government should it deem possible harmful conflict to the nation.

" the revisions would have no impact on people in general.  "

And yet they are being kept hush hush for now.

So who is it going to have an impact on?

More power for the elite? More cash for them too? Less accountability?

If it is all above board why do the details need to be kept away from 'people in general?"
