Kirin Beer...

Featured Replies

Now at Tops....brewed in Patum Thani....no tax label...70 THB for a large...Good news for drinkers on a budget.  Still two large Tigers for 106 is hard to beat.

Chang, Singh all 50 baht, archer 48 baht, red horse 52 baht and Leo 52 baht. Cheaper alternatives I think you would agree. :)

All mentioned in the above reply are, IMO, not worth being called beer. Strickly for those with no taste and on a very limited budget.

Yes and all dreadfull. Along with Kirin.

All made in Thailand.

Amazing how a place like Laos can brew a decent beer while Thailand does not have a clue.

Beer Lao works out at 50 baht for a small bottle in Makro.

A bit more cash but worth it.

Beer choice like so many other imbibed things is a very subjective 'thing'..., which is great because every ones beer choice is the right/correct beer choice(for them)...,  personally I like different beer styles at different times..., and with differing foods.
Extra spicy food and and an ice cold 'pale' or 2...., mmmmmm.

Yes Beer is subjective.

Some decent Thai beers including a new (To Me) U Beer, 5% strength what ever that means.

I have enjoyed Beer Lao , Myanmar Beer and love the old Kraut Dunkle Beer, Erdinger.

john

Was to Amerika recently and marveled at the selection of domestic and imported beers.  And cost up to US$15 per six-pack of 12oz bottles.  Sure, Blatz cheaper.

Indeed it is. Same as wine. Some people like a bottle of Austrian anti-freeze, some people like something good.
