Hmmm, not that easy to answer.  What have the kids done to earn your inheritance?  Many times in the west, the kids are off to live their own lives and forget about their parents.  Until it comes time to divvy up the estate.

Plenty of bad parents, nobody gets lessons on how to be a good one. There's also plenty of selfish kids who have doting parents, who are only interested in their inheritance and can't wait to ship mum and dad off to the old folks home, so try not to be so judgemental, even though it's pretty much your signature.

I had two kids, a boy and a girl. My daughter lost her battle with leukemia early last year. That leaves my son. He has done very well for himself and he is convinced that I will return to the US. He offered to build a house for me on his acreage. He doesn't need any money from me. If I have no medical emergency, he will get  my nest egg.
