Replacing Curtains

Featured Replies

Hi, I need to replace the curtains, the usually studio double sliding glass door onto the balcony size. At the moment I have those paper thin curtain that the sun shines straight  through on a string pully system. So am looking for something that will at least block out the sun.

Does anyone have any recommendations where I can go and choice what I want, and have them come and fit them, and a ball park figure of what the cost will be. Just looking at average styles.

Thanks

I've used "Curtain Thepprasite" recently.

They're located along Thepprasit road opposite Soi 8 (big white hanky-panky sign with in red "Curtain Thepprasit")

Tel. 038-300702 - 038-300703 - 081-3400519

The lady in charge speaks reasonable English

Example of my little project:

width: 4.20m

height: 2.44m

curtains with 80% built in sun-block

rails (if you have rails installed, you may deduct approx. THB 1,200)

installation

I paid THB 5,700.

i used a place on Naklua Rd years ago. i would think price would depend on curtain material. If you want near 100% block out then can have a blockout material added to the back of the curtain.

Do curtain shops like that also do vertical blinds?  If not, where is a good place to get some?  I was surprised the other day when I was at HomePro on Pattaya Klang that they didn't have any.  I want vertical blinds with a textured, patterned surface that look similar to cloth.
