webfact
X-ray check on lorry reveals haul of meth tablets By The Nation LAMPANG: -- Police using an X-ray machine seized more than 1.1 million methamphetamine tablets hidden in a truck intercepted at a checkpoint on Highway 1 in Lampang’s Mae Prik district on Saturday. Officers had manned the checkpoint following a tip-off that a large haul of drugs would be transported along the route. The X-ray machine revealed the drugs hidden inside a bucket concealed under blue canvas spread over the bed of the truck. Truck driver Sakda Srisod, 30, was arrested and charged with having illicit drugs in possession with intention to sell. He allegedly said it was his second delivery of drugs, with Tak as his destination. This is gone far beyond tea money already as even the most corrupt police out there can see that the drug's situation is getting out of hand and something must be done to stop it or at least bring it a reasonable level unlike the madness that is going on now....
