LAMPANG: -- Police using an X-ray machine seized more than 1.1 million methamphetamine tablets hidden in a truck intercepted at a checkpoint on Highway 1 in Lampang’s Mae Prik district on Saturday.

Officers had manned the checkpoint following a tip-off that a large haul of drugs would be transported along the route.

The X-ray machine revealed the drugs hidden inside a bucket concealed under blue canvas spread over the bed of the truck.

Truck driver Sakda Srisod, 30, was arrested and charged with having illicit drugs in possession with intention to sell. He allegedly said it was his second delivery of drugs, with Tak as his destination.

Let's hope that this acts as a warning to others ... of what happens when you forget to pay your tea money!

This is gone far beyond tea money already as even the most corrupt police out

there can see that the drug's situation is getting out of hand and something

must be done to stop it or at least bring it a reasonable level unlike the

madness that is going on now....

sure the shipment would have got through if all the right people had been paid. maybe the cops need to sacrifice the odd shipment to make it look like they are doing their job.

Apathy ruled the snooker centers.......a concentrated drug scene around Patpong and that was it.

Today.

One sees a shift in captured volume of heroine from Laos and Myanmar, now Pakistan and India are set to join the trade,

In Penang (Malaysia) its called 'pink" by addicts........pink colored smack from India.

Yes if the wheel starts to squeal you grease it. Yes your statement is plausible. This will more than likely be the last you will hear on this topic.

90% of the world's heroin now comes from Afghanistan. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opium_production_in_Afghanistan

Another great success coming from the intervention by the US and UK. Well done chaps....

The majority of the English speaking world would say truck.  It's just Britain who say lorry.
