Anjeem Choudary is now in prison for five years for support for ISIS. Unfortunately he was born in Welling so can't deport him and lets hope he can't "convert" any other weak minded prisoners and is kept in solitary confinement.

Probably eating good food, watching TV, working out in the gym, all on the taxpayers dime.  Very nice.

The extremists are the purists who hide under the blanket of non violent Muslims. They have more power to expose the extremists than any other group.  Yet they seem the least interested in doing just that. It seems to be a kind of assent to me.

How do you know that? Intelligence services have foiled several plots. How do you know they don't get information from within the Muslim community?

I think what bothers 99% of non muslims is why the 99% of of peace loving muslims are always so extremely silent after each and every attack by the 1% of  non peace loving ones.  It seems to be a pattern lately.

They're not actually silent though. I mean, it's pretty easy to find public statements by Muslim organizations and individuals condemning attacks. You must try hard to avoid seeing them, or just filter them out subconsciously. Do you want Muslims to contact you personally? When was the last time you made a public statement condemning something bad done by people superficially in your 'group' anyway? How many Catholics publicly condemned the terrorist attacks by the IRA back in the day? How many US citizens make public statements condemning the deaths of civilians in military operations?

Police man not carrying a gun, and he was security, madness,! RIP

He nonetheless was in the presence of armed pers and wearing protective clothing. Regretably the systems in place weren't enough to prevent loss of life but hats off to the Met for ending the attack so quickly.

The PM is expected to address the chamber @1030 GMT.

Did anyone spot the irony in this happening on the day of McGuinness's funeral?

He was a muslim terrorist , you just have to look at a picture of the guy just after he was shot ,and to all the appeasers on here , we all know who i mean ,hang your heads in shame .

How do you "look like a terrorist", he is an Asian male with a beard.

Do you suggest locking up all Muslim men with beards? or just sending them back home, oh wait some of whom were born in the UK.

not every muslim is a terrorist <deleted>. The reason terrorists work is because they are so hard to spot.

Would you have locked every person who looked Irish up in the IRA and Unionist days?

Would you have locked every Asian who looked like a Sikh up in the 80's when there was a plane bombing?

How about locking all the people in Thailand who look like Adem Karadag, oh wait he looks a bit Whitish...

Surely by now your seeing a flaw in your options

The boys from the 'religion of peace' are at it again!!

I've had it up to the back teeth with politicians' cliched comments.......World leaders condemn the latest terror attack in London......we stand shoulder to shoulder with all citizens........we're bigger than they are........They won't make any impact on the things we stand for, freedom, democracy, peace, etc.......... we'll ferret out whoever is responsible and they will be punished.......we will not bow to terrorism......this will not weaken our resolve.....this is not islam, it is one man, and on it goes.

Forget that garbage.    What I want to know is this.... WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?????

We don't need more platitudes...we need ACTION!!!

Why are you making false accusations in this time of grief? Do you really believe it's constructive to post false news nonsense immediately after a terror attack?; refer below...

Condolences for the murdered and injured and their loved ones. Personally I have no doubt UK police will deal with this incident in a professional manner.

Khan did make that statement, the timing of it does not excuse the <deleted> at all.

Thank your government and being nice. Is it worth it to be nice and have born citizens mowed down.

I notice that the above post got 6 'likes'. Maybe I'm getting a bit dense, but I'm still trying to work out what it means!

Perhaps US Patriot, in spite of his nom de plume, is not a native English speaker.

I'd say he means.........Thank your (UK) government for being nice (to the 'religion of peace' component of the population).  It's worth it to be nice to a minority group and have your own citizens killed (sarcastic/tongue in cheek comment), implying they don't understand a hand of peace extended toward them.   They know only hate toward civilized people who choose freedom.

Of course, I may have it all wrong??

This is what you get with open borders.

News just reported that the suspicion that this was radical islamic terrorism is confirmed.

I don't know what country you're from Pepe, but let me assure you that UK does not have open borders. Even EU citizens must pass through border control on entry.

Lets get one thing straight with all these posters blaming integration and immigration policies.

The terrorists that have threatened and attacked the British public in the name of islamic extremism

so far have been all  identified as British citizens  not immigrants.

The problem is within the core of British Society and is home grown, by people like Anjem Choudary

....all identified as British citizens, not immigrants...............who have converted to islam??

Pepe, do you realise that radical islamic terrorism is embedded within British society

and carried out by British citizens without having anything to do with Britain's borders.

So far as i know open or closed borders wouldn't make any difference!

And what is it you misunderstood from these repeated BBC statements ?

Five people have died and at least 40 were injured after an attacker drove a car along a pavement in Westminster, stabbed a policeman and was shot dead by police in the grounds of Parliament

Be careful what you understand and believe before all the fact are out.

BBC  what !!     another joke station that carry's out pre- interviews.

I was referring to the inane comment made about the Lord Mayors statement.  So yes, get your fact right first.  Where do I say I support terrorists?

I am on about the deputy commissioner. Which is now a fact. It was an islamist attack. Well do you support this act of terrorism or not? it doesn't sound like you have any sympathy for the victims or the policeman but just worried about what the major of London has said or not which frankly I couldn't care about. I care about those people who have been affected by this.

When you think in the 70's, 80's and into the 90's the IRA had few dozen terror cells in Britain and then compare that with the sheer numbers of Muslims communities in the UK , then almost certainly there are many cells of radical Islamists, who are being harbored and defended within these communities......It is truly worrying......

The UK has open borders? Since when?

Oh, of course! This atrocity is the fault of the EU!

For those who may not realise it, British police officers do not go routinely armed. There is, in fact, only a small minority of specially trained fire arms specialists in the force and they very high trained indeed. Many of them by the SAS.

I for one, am rather proud that we British have the collective self confidence to continue with this policy and believe the UK is a safer country because of it. We have one of the lowest gun crime statistics in the world.

It is virtually impossible to prevent this kind of 'lone wolf' attack, armed or not.

the modus operandi is identical to the recent attack in Heidelberg, Germany.

And Melbourne, Australia, but authorities aren't calling it a terror event here.   Our politicians and police are so politically correct that we'd never know, or be told, if it was.

A police commissioner a couple of years back referred to a Sudanese offender as....wait for it,   'a dark skinned gentleman'.   People don't come any more black than Sudanese, so what's wrong with saying 'a black man'?     Apparently it's offensive.   But we can be referred to as 'whites' and it's not offensive?

Yes, some have converted to Islam by the likes of Anjem Choudary and Abul Hamza etc...

But some on the other hand are British born muslims that become radicalised in mosques

and prisons

Three of the 7/7 bombers were born as muslims in the UK.

Either way, converted or not, the problem is within the UK, not from overseas.

There is nothing that can be done

Safety and freedom are a balance. We already have more CCTV coverage than any country in the world.

The risks to an individual are minuscule

We don't need any draconian measures thank you.

One or two who have been arrested in the past were converts, But most are first, second, third, fourth generation offspring from immigrants who were welcomed in the 60's and 70's by left wing governments. Their communities have increased in influence as numbers arriving and the birthrate increased.

Now we have our own British Muslims who see the threat of civil violence on the pretense of religion as a good way to avoid punishments when they break laws and see non Muslims as infidels and therefore acceptable to do anything to. Not all are like this, but a significant and growing minority are. If you lived and grew up in an area over that timespan where Muslims settled you will know what I mean. Funnily enough, never had similar issues with Hindus or most other religions. Just Muslims and predominately those from Pakistan.
