Pity they don't do anything about the disgusting entrance to Walking Street--very narrow sidewalks in horrible condition, bad tacky entrance sign with crooked letters, bad lighting, bad pedestrian flow, bad new city building of some sort way  too close to the road by the turn, no greenery, dirty, messy, etc. etc. etc.  It's all really bad and needs a major makeover.

That narrow sidewalk in front of Bamboo Bar is a absolute disgrace...

All resources in the city should be focused on fixing that before anything

else..

Is this the big happy zone launch that they've been talking about all month, set to transform the whole character of the place? Talk about a damp squib...

As an aside, if they want to clean up the resort's image they need to employ a new artist, as the smiling dolphin on the billboard is clearly high as a kite.

And of course Bangkok Bank has to insure that their signs take up what little space there is to walk in the first place,  if you make it past the schwarma cooker without getting burned

But I guess that since this it Thailand the foot paths are only for those with small feet

If they make it too nice it could lose its 3rd World appeal.

So, the solution to the crime and jet ski scammers, the broken marina, the decrepit Bali Hi, the lack of any green space for the public, the broken walkway to the lighthouse, the disaster that is the beach walkway, the traffic, the lack of footpaths, etc etc etc ( continuing ) is to put up a picture of a supposed sea creature wearing a hat. Good one, whoever thought that up.
