The stopping of reporting is standard fare here in Thailand, like when there's a jumper at Central, you'd rarely hear the place name only 'a well known shopping mall on beach road' and such, the security team there even has a specially made cover to put over the body to prevent anyone taking horrid picture before it could be moved away.
