PSA test and Doctors exam fees , pricing

Featured Replies

I plan on seeing Dr. Apichat Kongkanand at Bumrungrad hospital for a Urinary tract issue , i also want to get a PSA test and Digital Rectal Exam, what are the average cost for these?

I did the online information form but the returned costs were vague, thanks.

The digital exam should be included in the consultation price, it involves no special equipment and takes just a few seconds.  PSA, at Bumrungrad my guess is 1,000 - 1,500. Consultation fees vary by doctor but these days average about 1,500. There will be a hospital add-on. So figure around 3,.500-4,000 baht. Posisbly more if other tests are required such as a urine culture.

If medications are prescribed, do not buy from hospital, not the drug and dosage and get at an outside pharmacy -- mark ups are huge.

Although a urologist, Dr. Apichat specializes in ED and fertiltiy issues more than prostate issues. Dr. Viroj is well recomm3ended for the latter https://www.bumrungrad.com/doctors/Viroj-Chodchoy
