MUKDAHAN: -- A 30-year-old man in Mukdahan has been arrested for the fifth time on drug trafficking charges – just two months after his release from his fourth term in prison.

Pol Colonel Permsak Srisoda, commander of the Dong Luang police station, said Boonnam Khonpian, a resident of Ban Yai village in Dong Luang district, was arrested on Tuesday.

Police arrested Boonam at his house two days after police arrested six teenagers on charges of drug abuse. They implicated Boonnam as the person who sold them the drugs.

Boonnam was arrested while leaving home, with police reporting they had found 425 methamphetamine pills in his trouser pocket.

For his fourth arrest, Boonnam was jailed three years and was released in January. His wife is serving a four-year jail term after her own drug conviction.
