Time to clean up sofa and curtains at grandma's.

The sofa cushions will all unzip, but the main frame obviously the fabric can't be taken off for washing.

The blinds and curtains come off easily.

Concerned about shrinkage if done in a machine.....though maybe cold water and hang to dry would be OK for the blinds and cushion covers? And maybe a light scrub for the frame material followed by sucking out most of the wetness with a shop vac might be OK?

OR can do "properly"?

Presumably a curtain shop will clean the curtains without shrinkage?

As for the sofa the main frame needs doing with some sort of foam or steam machine which will suck to near dry at the same time.

Anyone know of such a service?......or can rent a machine like that?

Just outside CM.

All help appreciated!

I couldn't find a machine to rent in the whole of bangkok.
To have steam cleaner come out cost more than the large rug I was trying to clean.
Unlikely you will find one in CM

Aha rugs I can do.
I recently took a couple to the car wash and got them to use the high pressure spray, first with suds, then clear water.
Takes a few days to dry.
Obviously depending on the strength of the rug you may have to be judicious with how close you hold the spray head

Good idea. there is a car wash area in the condo car park. No high pressure but a strong brush with loads of water would work.

Can elevate it for drying a few days

Just to wrap this up
1 the rugs were done in the car wash
2 the sofa was hovered dry with a shopvac and looked not bad
3 the curtains were done by a curtain shop. One pair covering double doors and two large Roman blinds 600 bt.
