Anyone who lives in the Silom area of Bangkok is warned to stay off the streets and preferably indoors for the rest of this week!!

The reason? My Thai GF, who already holds a driving licence, is having some driving practice so that she is competent enough for me to sit in the car with her without sh*tting myself :o

At great expense, I was able to find someone willing to ride in the car with her (think it was one of those Muslim fanatics who doesn't worry about dying)

If you must venture outside, the safest place to walk is probably in the middle of the road since she spends most of her time driving on the pavements... :D

In fact, after she returned (safely) from her lesson, I can report that she drove the crapiest, most beat-up pile of poo that could just about be called a car. Her instructor said it was because his pupils were always hitting other cars and he did not see the point of using any decent vehicle for his profession :o

But be warned! She is at it every morning this week in downtown Silom. My advice - stay in bed!!!
