BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha and “Durian mask” singer – whose identity was recently revealed as Issara “Tom” Kitnitchee, the lead vocalist of Room 39 – are among prominent personalities that most Bangkokians would want to splash water with during the Songkran Festival, according to a survey conducted by Bangkok University.

Prayut and Issara were the top choices among males with 38.2 per cent and 6.1 per cent respectively, actor Nadech Kugimiya came third at 4.9 per cent. On the female list, actress Patcharapa “Aum” Chaichue, former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra, and actress Urassaya “Yaya” Sperbund were the top three at 7.5 per cent, 5.5 per cent and 4.8 per cent respectively.

More than 70 per cent of the 1,178 people polled from March 31 to April 4 said they expected this year’s Songkran water battles to be subdued in comparison with previous years.

Most of those surveyed wanted the authorities to prevent violent water battles and brawls in Songkran celebration zones (77.4 per cent), curb sales of alcoholic beverages (63.4 per cent) and prevent revellers from wearing too-revealing clothes (59.2 per cent).

The most popular places for Songkran celebrations were Chiang Mai's Khu Muang canal (36.9 per cent) followed by Pattaya and Bang Saen in Chon Buri (22.9 per cent) and Khao San Road (17.5 per cent) and Silom Road (12.5 per cent) in Bangkok.

I can think of something else besides a small splash of water. A board a jug of water and a rag.

1,178 people, out of a population of 68,263,922 should give fair and accurate results. :coffee1:

Actually if done truly randomly, such a sample size would result in a statistically valid result at 95% Confidence Level with 3% Margin of Error.

Any and all polls are to be completely and totally discredited, as having political interference. Let us not forget the media is being highly censored. For the most part, we are only hearing what they want us to hear.

I'll tell you what I want you to hear.

If you don't like it, we'll beat it into you.

95% of statistics are made up with a confidence level of +/- 12.7835%.

The buffalo is revered in Thailand so that means Khun Prayuth is also revered ....

Revered for pulling a plough...and now its been replaced by a tractor cause its better. Reverence is so fickle.
