rooster59
‘Cabinet has taken opinion of affected people’ on national strategy By The Nation Peerasak The vice president of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA), Peerasak Phochit, said he believed the Cabinet had followed the requirement in the new charter of heeding the opinion of affected people before submitting the national strategy law to the NLA. The NLA would deliberate on the provisions of the National Strategy Act on Thursday, Peerasak said. The law must be completed within 120 days of promulgation of the charter, he explained. He said the NLA was not worried about heeding opinion, saying responsible agencies must have been aware of the requirement in the new charter and done it already. However, the NLA vice president said the NLA might have to reduce the time to deliberate on the law in order to meet the deadline set by the charter. How much time is needed ? Thailand has had laws before. Law should not be a new concept, unless it is going to be used unfairly.
SOUTHERNSTAR
So the NLA did not consult the people and when questioned passed the responsibility to government institutions which dont know that it is their responsibility and also did not draw up nor approve the new constitution and related laws. Amazing ?
