webfact
Sperm smuggler fined Bt200,000 By The Nation BANGKOK: -- The Customs Department on Friday fined Nithinon Srithaniyanan Bt200,000 for attempting to smuggle human semen out of the country, deputy spokesman Kreecha Kirdsriphan said. He said the department opted to apply the fine in lieu of the prescribed penalty of 10 years’ imprisonment for illegally exporting human sperm. Kreecha said the case is now settled in terms of Customs procedure, but the department is prepared to summon Nithinon again for further action should health officials uncover more information and seek its cooperation. Nithinon, 25, was caught trying to smuggle six tubes of semen stored in a tank of frozen nitrogen across the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge checkpoint in Nong Khai province. The Deerhunter
We all take two tubes full with us every time we cross the border. Tne tubes as someome else pointed out are called vas deferens. Seriously is what he did really listed as a crime? Does that make this place the hub of willy wonkers? Was he driving a Mitzi Pajero? These and other questions........................ Edited April 21, 2017 by The Deerhunter

humqdpf
To really understand this story, you need to go to the BBC: see the following link http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-39663671 It explains what the Thai journalists just did not, which is: 1. Why in the name of everything that is sacred did a man think to import semen into Laos? Why was it worth someone's while to pay him to carry the semen across the border? 2. Why did the Thai authorities give a damn? Why did the Thais arrest him and not the Lao - usually in smuggling cases, it is the recipient country that brings the charges of smuggling. Why might it have been deemed illegal to bring semen across a border? 3. Why were the Thai's monitoring this man?

If there is one thing I've learned before I turned 20, if money is involved it's more important than life, also taken more serious with more severe consequences along with it. It's the unspoken and unwritten laws that no sperm(ejaculated and stored) from Thailand be it Thai sperm or foreigner's sperm allow to be transport out of Thailand. However, Seminal fluids and sperm while still in the testicles are allow to be transport out of Thailand. There are many unspoken and unwritten laws in Thailand, many will be made up along the way to deal with foreigners as they see fit.

owl sees all
This sperm transporting is indeed serious stuff. I am not supporting the word 'smuggling' here. The convicted man was 'transporting'; that's all. But consider this sinister aspect. Imagine if a large batch of 'farang' sperm was to fall into the wrong hands. A renegade country, such as North Korea, could genetically modify the spermatozoa. This could then be impregnated into kidnapped ladies around the world. The ladies would be drugged and when released would remember nothing. The next thing they knew they would be vomiting every morning. Some of the comments are, on this topic, are extremely humorous. Some witty and some extremely 'dry'. I laughed at a few myself. BUT it is not a laughing matter and the Thai authorities perhaps understand the seriousness of these things. If it was concluded that Thailand had shut their eyes to a potential human race catastrophe the fall-out would be imaginable. It could damage their credibility (Thai authorities) and could result in lost face and a drop off of foreign aid or visitors among other things. They should at least be given credit for seeing the 'bigger picture'. On a side note; it is commonly believed that a US Zionist group has eggs from 100.000 different women and enough sperm to fill a small swimming pool in secure, safe storage. Just in case!!! . . . If you can keep your head when others around you are losing theirs; you could finish up the tallest. A1Str8
It's not illegal. Keep doing it. And what are worried about immoral things??! Murder for example is quite immoral in my book, yet there are many murderers out here and they don't seem to be in prison.
