Grow your own new teeth hope

THE days of dentures could soon be over thanks to stem cell technology which may let people grow their own replacement teeth, it emerged today.

Scientists have been awarded £500,000 to help continue their research to allow those with missing teeth to fill the gaps without having to resort to false teeth, bridges or synthetic implants.

The company Odontis, set up by King College London, hopes to develop its research for use on human patients after successful tests in mice.

Apparently so, I read a similar article in one of the U.K. papers this morning and it said that they are still testing on mice.

I can imagine that would be a fiddly task seeing as mice teeth are so tiny, unless thay are growing human teeth on a mouses back like they once did with a human ear.

The though of that put me off my sausages.
