trott Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 It seems crazy but I can succede reconfirming my return to Europe with Turkish Arilie this coming Thursday 27. of April. I have never done it before, my travel agent where I bought the ticket took care of it. This time I got the ticket via Expedia. Thanks in advance.

oldcarguy Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 call Turkish airlines in your home country , easier than Thailand or call Turkey ! I have called Home to talk to my Airline before as I knew it would be in English !
ukrules Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 They still need reconfirmation in this day and age ? I thought that was a relic from the past along with printed tickets mailed out to you, etc.

merijn Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Flights don't have to re-confirmed any more, This is a thing from long long time ago. Experience from my 100 + TK flights to and from BKK.
oldhippy Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Turkish Airlines get voted best European (euh...) airline year after year. Their flights are good indeed (food, drinks, service, seats, punctuality) but their website....... Just about impossible to book a flight.

As long there is no problem (delay cancellation etc) they are fine. But as soon there is a problem they are bloody useless without any costumer service. Forget using the help desk in Turkey. I have better luck with the TK office in Bangkok.

We once boarded a plane Brussels - Istanbul, only to discover that there was no (last) row 34..... The stewards were flabbergasted, we had to wait at the end of the plane, and after everybody was seated they found 2 seats for us. All this WITH boarding passes! Then of course the baggage lockers at our seats were full, our bags were stowed far away. We were connecting in IST to BKK, but we had to wait to disembark as last passengers - since we could not retrieve our cabin bags, and the plane was late too. Run run run..... I complained on line - the answer: "we can not guarantee your chosen seats" -- and same reply when I complained again. And try to find a seat at IST airport - lots of people sitting on the ground! But they are cheap...... and in the air they are good.
