SLightly off topic but 2 me a long term spurs fan the most expensive transfer and it wasnt totally about money, but spurs deciding jennings was over the hill and letting him go to arsenal!!for me

marked a rapid  reversal of fortunes in north london that arguably took decades to permanantly negate

Sissoko...you can flog him back to where he came at half the price and everyone's a winner.

Atm  Doubt they would want him bac however i do reckon he  needs more time and frankly i've seen bits that make me optimistic, but we'll c

Sir Alex Ferguson could have agreed to play Pogba every game and offered him a huge salary, but SAF didnt think that Pogba was worth that, so Pogba left Man U

SAF has proven to be correct , Pogba isnt that good

90 million reasons make him wrong..he <deleted> up END OF STORY . Oh looking at what you say it totally gets better,, ferguson failed to resign him cos he thought he wasnt  very good,,, yet he went on to be arguably the best team in europes star central midfeilder so going against what rednose thought they went out and paid  a world record fee for him,,,only to find out actually he isnt that good,,, words fail me.. one huge f up from one end to the other...

Up there!!!  His sitting right on top of the tree mate.  He's been a total unmitigated disaster.  And that would have been at a third of the cost we bought him at.

Never understood why we bought him in the first place.  Had a great euro and thats been it.  Geordie mates told me that was a flash in the pan and they were right.

There are more but you need to remove Benteke, he was sold for the same price he was bought for.

I'm not so sure - they bought him for 32.5m and sold for 27m only a year later, but with "add-ons" that may never yet be paid.

Start posting again more often you blue whopper. Your nonsense is missed.

And you forgot Alberto Aquilani.

Pound for pound I always thought Shevchenko to Chelsea was the biggest transfer flop really.

I had forgotten Aquilani - 17 million quid and allowed to go for free or for peanuts I recall. Still we might see how much Niasse is worth at the end of the season.

Don't forget Mangala that you spent 42m on and will be lucky to exchange for a soggy bag of chips.

Man U didnt "let Pogba" walk, Man U offered him a new contract, which , he refused to sign and they he joinned another club of his own accccord

Man U tried to keep him. but he didnt want to stay

Correct Sanemax 3 minus 2 is obviously a paid up member of the "hate United" brigade refusing to accept what really transpired.

I remember it well as I had watched Pogba come through the 18's and then into reserves.Physically strong ,talented with a swagger that he could at some time get him into a confrontation with SAF re game time in the firsts. No one tells SAF when they should be picked as Van Niselrooy, just for one, found out.

Pogba wasnt just let go he was offered a contract but it was clearly identified, and reported many those in the know, that his agent had already stitched him up with a move to Juventus.

Which brings me to the whole point about transfers or should we call them in todays environment " investments"

Pogba is only 24 he has a 5 years contract,4 years left to run .The fee paid for him (picture of agent rubbing his hands) will seem cheap in 4 years time. But a lot of you guys dont seem to comprehend this is about business. Pogba is marketing magnet and I'm not just talking shirts of which he is currently the top seller amongst the younger generation.every bit of merchandise you will see Pogba front and centre, marketing is a specialist business, backed up by surveys

Ed Woodward may not know a lot about football but he sure knows how to swing a commercial deal .Not a month goes by when United don't stitch up another ,not sponsor old language,"Business partner" their revenue is sky high not reflecting what is happening on the pitch.

Every Premiership home game can guarantee 75,000 people through the gate, think about that in terms of revenue and the flow on

What has happend to Pogba is he's not lived up to many peoples minds to the price tag which to me is irrelevant in the overall picture(see above) But Mourinho knowing he has played Euros and basically a full 12 mths of football has physically flogged him.45 games notched up this season already, never previously substituted and in the second half against Burnley with the game in safe keeping he still kept him on.

Pogba was in the second half, reduced to walking only breaking into a trot when the ball came his way until he slumped to the ground unable to continue.....stupid.

Pogba is still only 24 ,with rest over the summer I predict he will come back, with all the hype passing onto someone else, like a train.

He's made the most passes in the whole competition certainly not returning his usual goal conversion but has hit the post 8 times.

United paid 12 million quid for Ronalda as a virtual unknown and sold him for 80,000 million quid. Many said it was stupid money, well reflect on that what that "investment"  did for RM in terms of revenue and results.

History is littered with names of players who didnt live up to expectations but the world has changed, money has trumped all

With 5 million add-ons, so many goals, don't get relegated, perhaps Top 10 finish which is now a possibility. Let's split the bill and make it 3 million so he is sold for 30M or there about. You can't say that is costly in the scheme of things.

You're are still shiite though, no matter how many costly transfer Liverpool. There's a lad on our bench who wasn't even born the last time you won at Anfield.

Actually since the days of georgie best ive had  a soft spot for the way utd play, however i aint really into this tribal nonsence defending  my clubs honour irrespective of the truth. utd failed to resign pogba letting him walk for nothing and 2 years later  signed him bac for a world record fee. them are the facts.  making fergie and the clubs inabilty  to resign pogba the most expensive transfer  error EVER.

Lukaku might end up on the list if Chelsea buy him back for anything north of £50 million.

Transfer blunder Lukaku?

No chance. Purchased for circa £10 mill with add ons which I assume were not added given he had minimal game time at Chelsea. Sold for 28 million. Banged in a load of goals and if he goes back and flops that is costly but if he goes back and keeps banging them in then it's good business and he is 23/24 so a lot more to come maybe.

Xabi Alonso across 3 countries.

Claude Makelele across 2 countries

Both miles more effective than Veron who is widely regarded as an English football flop so therefore a transfer blunder.
