Low profile GTX 1050, where to buy?

I got refurbished Dell Optiplex and need video card. I don't want cheap garbage like 210 or 730 etc.

Any idea where can I find GTX 1050 or RX 550 ? JIB, Bananait, Invadeit out of stock or don't have it.

Yes, nothing. There is on Amazon or Newegg but this is outside of Thailand. The reason I want 1050 it's because power draw is just right for 250w power supply. It's faster than RX 460 and more power efficient. RX 460 requires stronger power supply. I might get RX550 because it has some nice features. I saw that 1030 is coming but who knows when and there is no grantee that it will be low profile available in Thailand.

Ive got a brand new gtx 1060 sitting here surplus to my needs (Built a new system in march  and was used for an hour but is not compatible with my cad software so had to import a a quadro card instead) but its power draw would be too much for you.

 

Send Thomas an email at invadeit and see if he can source what you want, he has helped me out many times in the past.

I.T.City is a good shop. I buy most of my goods from them and never had a reason for complaint yet. If you get a good sales guy, like in my local shop, they will order most things if they possibly can for you.

Tnx for answers. I will see what I can do. Dell optiplex can be bought for 5500 thb. Intel i5 3470 4gb ram. Add 4 gb ram more and install 1050ti inside. A killer machine for little money. It's working great so far few days now.

Jib .. for sure has many 1050 models available. You can reach them at jib.co.th and call them. They can transfer stock to the branch of your liking. Also a good place is Jetcom in Fortune Tower. Their prices are usually lower than other retailers. I will buy a Asus 1080ti strix oc from them next week. Another place, if you don't mind paying more, is invade it.

I was browsing the NVDIA site and all 1050's were out of stock. I guess that will disappear soon.

I could only find one, single LOW PROFILE card on Lazada, and that was sourced from off-shore.

I really have no idea why there is no any decent low profile gpu available in Thailand. Just imagine price/performance ratio with Dell Optiplex. For 11000 thb i5, 8gb ram, 1050ti. I even found in Croatia, both, MSI and Gigabyte 1050ti.

I gave up. I will give this pc to my wife and get mini tower Dell. Same price and more upgrade options.

I gave up because price of low profile 1050ti is 6000 + thb. For little more I get RX 570.

I like the case and gave it to my wife. It makes no sense to buy it and later replace with bigger case. I will buy mini tower Dell and problem solved.

You are absolutely right, why are those cards not sold in Thailand indeed. The Thailand IT distributors are quite notorious for only importing all the mainstream models and not anything that's just a little bit special.

We can't do anything unfortunately to change that, these giant distributors completely decide what's being sold in Thailand.
