I'm not phobic, but I also don't completely trust the cleanliness of beer bottles.

When I buy a beer, I always stick my index finger in the mouth of the bottle and rotate the bottle a few times, just to pretend I am actually sanitizing something.

 

I've noticed recently that for some Heineken bottles, my index finger fits in easily, and for others it is a tight squeeze.

What's up with this...

 

Are there different sized Heineken bottles?

Bottled in Thailand vs bottled elsewhere?

 

I do realize this is a completely frivolous topic, but I just had a few Heineken's (easy fit sized)

You are likely adding more germs than are already there by sticking your finger in the bottle.

It's your finger, not the bottles. Did you notice where you doing this, in aircon room versus outside ambient temperature?

If you want to be hygienic and get pissed a lot quicker drink through a straw.

Is "Heineken bottle" a new euphemism?
